Q: What are the benefits of a good protector for pavers?

Answer

Benefits of sealing pavers include: minimize maintenance, prevent stains from oil, food and drink spillages, BBQ grease, dirt, fallen leaves and pet messes (If pavers are sealed, stains will remain on the sealant and not penetrate into the paver pores), slow the growth of moss or mildew in damp areas, reduce the rate of color fade, inhibit weed infestation and keep your pavers looking new for longer period of time.

Q: How can I explain to a customer what a wet-look protector is?

Answer

Ask your customers if they like their pavers when they are wet. If the answer is yes, they will love Techniseal's wet-look Protectors!

Q: Why is it important to clean the surface before applying a protector?

Answer

Because Protectors need to penetrate concrete pores. Cleaners such as the Paver Primer and Hardscape Cleaner remove ground-in dirt and effloreresence, allowing protector to penetrate. Good penetration means better looking pavers and longer lasting effect.

Q: Are water-based sealants as effective as solvent-based sealants?

Answer

Yes. Techniseal water-based paver Protectors are made from the most advanced polymer technology available. Today, these sealants can even outperform solvent-based products by leaving thicker, more durable protective coating on the surface.

Q: My pavers were previously treated with a sealant from another brand. Can I seal them with a Techniseal protector?

Answer

Yes. However, it will be necessary to wait until the sealant is worn before applying a Techniseal Protector, normally.

Q: I will clean my pavers with a water jet before sealing them. Is this enough?

Answer

No. Always use a cleaner to clean pavers thoroughly. A simple water jet will not remove grease stains and will not dissolve efflorescence, a whitish salt that accumulates at the surface of pavers.
